Our new house!

I love our front porch swing!

This blog is usually all about Jack, but in the next few days I will be posting all about our renovations! We got keys to our house Sept 30th and started our projects shortly after that. Move in day was Oct 22 and we had our first (we ended up having 2) house warming/ Jack's half birthday party Oct 29th. We also decided this would be a good time to sleep train Jack, which meant at least one of us had to be back at the old apartment around 7 each night to put Jack down. We also decided to start Jack on solids this past week to celebrate his half birthday!
We couldn't have done it with out all the help of our family and friends!
Here is what all we did (things with * we had someone else do for us)

Master bathroom:
Paint
took down the old window treatments
new light fixtures*
Exercise/craft room: paint
put in overhead light/fan*

Jack's room:
Paint (lots and lots of painting)
window treatment
shelves in closet
replaced window*

Jack's bathroom:
touch up paint
put up shower rod

Living room/dinning area:
touch up paint
rip out carpet
install wood floors
paint bar area orange
reupholstered bar stools
Install TV* (put in new power outlet, run cables through the wall, put up bracket, etc)
Put stone around fire place
Install ceiling fan with light*
Put together new tables

Kitchen:
Shelving unit on pantry door for storage
wood floors
new appliances (yes, we installed those too)
back splash!
Island (sanded, painted, stained, removed stain, new hardware)
made curtains

Laundry room:
installed shelves
extra pantry storage/ cake storage

Other things we had done:
roof work
replaced windows whose gas seal had broken in kitchen and Jack's room
put up/wire Justin's new tv above fire place
install power outlet in garage so I can get a freezer
Sod (thanks to Vo and Andy)

So, basically our bedroom is the only room we didn't change anything in :)

We LOVE our new home and plan on being here for a LONG time and are happy to have visitors!
