So when we made our trip to Ikea in November we also came back with baby furniture! We got a rocking chair, crib, and dresser with changing table attachment.
I love putting together things! Most people I know hate putting together furniture, especially Ikea furniture as there are no words just pictures. But, I truly do enjoy it so I started putting things together right away.

I decided to start with the rocking chair as I figured it would be the easiest to put together.

The frame took no time to put together, I would say like 15 minutes!

The rocking chair! You can choose from all sorts of cushions and they did have a really pretty green one for we decided to go with the brown leather as it should last longer and be easier to clean up when the baby spits up.
Then I moved on to the dresser

Before I start putting things together I like to lay out all the pieces and separate all the hardware

All the dresser parts

This has a changing table attachement that has been put together and I will make sure to take a picture of it when I have made more progress in the room.

And finally the crib which I didn't end up having to put together as I came home after class to find that Justin had already done so!
I am now in the process of starting to put the room together. I have almost cleaned out the baking closet, the crafts are slowly being re organized and moved into a closet. There are still several things in the room I need to figure out what to do with but it's starting to come along well. As we are not finding out if we are having a boy or a girl we decided to go with brown and green for the baby's room. Mom got some a really cute set of bedding for the crib that has jungle
animals on it.
I have several projects I am working on that I will post pictures of soon:
1- Figure out a way to hang the animal comforter without putting wholes on it
2- The the paintings the kids I babysit for made on the wall. We decided that we wanted to have some fun art work for the baby's room so I got 12 small canvases and some paints and got each of the 12 kids (ages 1-9) to do a painting for the baby. I am really excited about how it will all turn out
3- Frame and put it the pictures of Zoo animals Jane took and gave us prints of to put above the changing table.
Thanks for reading!
