I am really excited about this project! I got some 8x10 canvases and some paints I liked together and got each of the 12 kids I babysit for to make a painting for the baby's room.
The kids are excited about the baby, always asking how long before the baby is here, how big the baby is etc, it's really cute and fun to see they are excited to meet the baby.

I decided to put them all on the same wall between the hallway door and the bathroom door. Excuse the mess below it, I have registered for the baskets I want to use for this thing so so for things are kind of a mess, but it's fun to get to see all the baby's things together.
My next project was to figure out a way to get the comforter up on the wall behind the crib.

I decided the best thing to do was to attach a wood rod with some straight pins and ribbon for easy removal later with no permanent marks.

First I had to cut the wood to size as I didn't measure before I got it.
Luckily, this was really easy with my cake dowel cutter.

Next I made little pockets with ribbon all along the top to hold the dowel in place.

And It's up! I decided to hang it kind of low so once the baby is here we have room above it to put the baby's name on the wall :)
I will continue to update the progress of the room as we make more changes.
Thanks for reading!
I love the idea of having the kids you babysit do some artwork!! It's creative and personal.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I figured outside of getting kids to paint hand prints on the walls (which would be a mess and I don't think the rental company would approve) this was the best way to get some input from the kids :)
